Humantay Lake Tour

Start your day with our fascinating Humantay Lagoon Tour, designed to take you to one of the most impressive destinations in the region. The tour begins early, with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 4:30 a.m., followed by an entertaining two-hour drive to Mollepata, where you’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast that will energize you for the day.

Afterward, you’ll check in and pay for access to the Salkantay Trail. From there, the trip continues to Soraypampa, an ideal starting point for appreciating the majestic snow-capped mountains of Salkantay and Humantay. During the one-hour drive along a rural road, you’ll delight in mountainous landscapes and gorges, a prelude to what will be an unforgettable experience.

In Soraypampa, we’ll begin a hike of approximately one hour to the Humantay Lagoon, ascending a trail surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Panoramic views of the Apu Salkantay will accompany you every step of the way, as you enjoy the tranquility of the Andes. Upon reaching the lagoon, located 4,300 meters above sea level, you’ll witness the vibrant beauty of its turquoise waters, sheltered by the imposing Humantay Mountain.

You’ll have about two hours to explore this magical place, take photographs, and, if you wish, enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters of the lagoon. You’ll also be guided by an expert who will provide valuable information about the history and culture of this natural wonder.

After enjoying the lagoon, we’ll begin the descent back to Mollepata, where a delicious lunch will await you at 2:00 p.m. With renewed energy, we will take the transport back to Cusco, where we will arrive at approximately 5:00 p.m.
