Rainbow Mountain Day trip From Cusco

The tour to the Mountain of Seven Colors in Cusco is an unforgettable experience. We will pick you up from your hotel at 4:00 a.m. being the perfect time to travel by car for approximately two hours to the south until we reach the district of Cusipata – Paucarpata in the province of Quispicanchi, where we can have breakfast.

After a short rest, our next destination is 10 min. and it is the FIRST BASE CONTROL, the peasant community of TINTINCO AND PAUCARPATA, from there we continue on a 25-min journey in our transport to the SECOND BASE CONTROL of the peasant community of CHILLIHUANI. From there, from the Control Base, we will start a 1 hour and 40-minute hike to the Vinicunca mountain (also known as the Mountain of Seven Colors), one of the most beautiful in the Cusco region.

From the summit you will enjoy an incredible view, of a range of colors that goes from green to red, hence its name “MOUNTAIN 7 COLORS” an impressive experience to contemplate the colors of the mountain and the Andes Mountains, the mountain is almost as high as the EVEREST BASE CAMP which is located at 5,389 m.s.n.m. In addition to this experience, our Tour includes a traditional breakfast and lunch.

Our tour ends at approximately 04:00 p.m. upon arrival at your hotel in the city of Cusco.

HIKING LEVEL
The hiking level for the Rainbow Mountain is categorized from level 1 to 4:

• Level 1: Easy on flat terrain, without major difficulty.
• Level 2: Between flat terrain and some slopes.
• Level 3: Slightly uneven terrain with steeper slopes.
• Level 4: Steep and rugged terrain.
