Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu 1 Day tour

Early in the day, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and travel by car for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo. Here, you will board the train that passes through the Sacred Valley of the Incas on a fantastic journey from the Andes to the jungle eyebrow.

This fantastic train journey lasts approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our representative will be waiting to assist you in taking the bus that will transport you to the Machu Picchu Citadel. The bus ride from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu takes approximately 25 minutes.

We arrive at Machu Picchu, one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World. We will take the tour in the Main Circuit (Circuit 2) and have the classic photo of Machu Picchu. Our guide will start the guided tour throughout the citadel. The guided tour lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. We will visit the Urban Agricultural Zone of Machu Picchu and learn about the history, customs, and architecture of this Inca monument, lost for a time among the cloud-covered mountains of the jungle.

This tour includes 2 entrance tickets: the first one allows you to explore the citadel, and the second one allows you to climb the Huayna Picchu Mountain (Circuit 4 + Wayna Picchu Mountain). This tour takes about 3 hours. You will hike to the top of the mountain accompanied by our professional guide. We will start the hike to reach Huayna Picchu, and the ascent to the summit of the mountain will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. It is a hike worth taking, as it will be an unforgettable experience. The ascent is filled with small steps, and the final part of the path has a steep slope, so caution is advised.

Finally, you will reach the top of Wayna Picchu mountain, also known as Huayna Picchu. You can enjoy the breathtaking view to take photos and feel the adrenaline and vertigo produced by its spectacular height. You will have 30 minutes to enjoy the beautiful views of Machu Picchu. Our service provides guided assistance to the top of Huayna Picchu. The descent from the mountain takes about 1 hour. After our tour at Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo.

At the Ollantaytambo train station, our driver will be waiting to take you back to the city of Cusco and to your hotel. This concludes our MACHU PICCHU + HUAYNA PICCHU TOUR IN 1 DAY.

Important: The entry to Wayna Picchu is limited to 400 visitors per day; therefore, it is advisable to reserve your entrance tickets to the mountain well in advance.

Arriving at the station with enough time in advance ensures that you have sufficient time to board the train.
